“treasure map language” — Good one! That language is of universal significance. More people should know it today. It’s called Latin! However, there is more to reading a treasure map than the language in which it is written. You have to notice the arrows and backtracks and dead-ends. Some people are better at treasure maps than others, for they try to understand the person who wrote the treasure map, the motivations and consequences. This will be the successful finder of the treasure, which, in this case, is the Holy Grail, variously defined in quite the same way (so to speak) throughout Book 1 of the Trilogy.
